Syntonix Pharmaceuticals and Biovitrum AB have entered into a co-development and commercialization agreement for Syntonix’ long-acting, recombinant Factor IX product for Hemophilia B (“FIXFc”). Upon execution of the agreement, Syntonix received an initial collaboration fee and Biovitrum made an equity investment. Syntonix and Biovitrum will jointly develop and commercialize FIXFc. Syntonix is responsible for marketing in North America and Biovitrum is responsible for marketing in Europe, Russia and the Middle East. The companies will equally share the costs and profits for development and commercialization of FIXFc. Under the terms of the agreement, Syntonix will receive milestone payments. At this time, Syntonix and Biovitrum are also pursuing FVIIIFc.

Dyax Corporation

Syntonix is collaborating with Dyax Corp (NASDAQ: DYAX) to discover and develop therapeutic antibodies to treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. During the discovery phase of the collaboration, Syntonix will provide proprietary assays and reagents as well as certain preclinical development work, and Dyax will utilize its proprietary antibody libraries to screen for clinical candidates. Upon successful completion of discovery work, the two companies will have the option to advance the antibody lead(s) into clinical development under the terms of a global co development and commercialization agreement.
