Syntonix Pharmaceuticals Technology

Syntonix discovers and develops novel, long-acting biopharmaceuticals to treat chronic diseases. The company’s proprietary Fc-fusion therapeutics, called SynFusion™ drugs, bind to the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) to harness the body’s natural FcRn pathway for protecting antibodies against destruction. The FcRn pathway also transports antibodies across epithelial cell barriers that are present in the lungs and intestines. Syntonix’ Transceptor® technology uses the FcRn pathway for pulmonary delivery of SynFusion drugs. These technologies enhance existing biopharmaceuticals by enabling:

  • Less frequent injections
  • Pulmonary delivery with high bioavailability
  • Potential to increase the therapeutic window for drugs with either short half-lives (e.g. peptides) or significant dose-limiting side effects (e.g. interferon alpha)

  • Pipeline & Development Focus

Syntonix develops drugs to enable better treatment options for patients with devastating chronic diseases. Syntonix R & D resources are focused in the areas of:

  • Hemophilia
  • Autoimmune Disorders
