Transceptor® is based on Syntonix’ proprietary technologies to enable efficient pulmonary delivery of any Fc-fusion construct (either a SynFusion™ drug or other companies’ traditional Fc-fusion drugs). The natural FcRn pathway transports antibodies and Fc-fusion drugs across the epithelial cell barrier in the lungs.
The FcRn pathway is highly expressed in the upper and central airways of the lungs, where existing inhaler devices typically deliver drugs. Syntonix has demonstrated in humans that Transceptor delivers consistent systemic levels of biopharmaceuticals with high bioavailability using existing inhaler devices.
